3M™ Perfect-It™ Paint Finishing Pad Kit includes every pad you need for compounding, polishing and finishing in collision repair. This 3M™ Perfect-It™ Paint Finishing Pad Kit contains Perfect-It™ foam pads for compounding, polishing and ultrafine polishing, as well as a 100% low-lint wool compounding pad. All pads feature Hookit™ attachment and are designed for use with Perfect-It™ compounds and polishes.

For compounding, you can choose the consistency of a foam pad or the cutting speed of a wool pad, without the linting. 3M designed the 3M™ Perfect-It™ Foam Polishing Pad for removing sand scratches and compounding swirls with very low sling. For finishing, 3M designed the 3M™ Perfect-It™ Ultrafine Foam Polishing Pad to completely remove polish swirls and holograms, even from difficult dark-colored automotive surfaces for a showroom finish.
All pads feature a diameter of 4 inches, excellent for control and access in small areas and tight spaces. Each pad in the 3M™ Perfect-It™ Paint Finishing Pad Kit has an inset for easy centering to rotary polishers, and Hookit™ hook-and-loop attachment makes for quick pad change-outs.
Featuring our Top-Performing Perfect-It™ Pads
3M developed each of these pads as part of their Perfect-It™ Paint Finishing System to keep pace with evolving paint and clear coat technologies. These foam compounding pads are generally less aggressive and produce a finer finish than wool pads. This makes them ideal for the critical compounding steps of paint refinishing. Wool compounding pads generally deliver higher cutting speed. The 3M™ Perfect-It™ Low Lint Wool Compounding Pad included in the kit is made from 100% wool, made in the USA from globally sourced materials, and has a low-linting feature which virtually eliminates tiny lint residue on the automotive surface.
3M designed all of these pads for use with 3M™ Perfect-It™ EX Rubbing Compound, 3M™ Perfect-It™ EX Machine Polish and 3M™ Perfect-It™ EX Ultrafine Machine Polish. 3M recommends using these pads with 3M™ Buffer, Pistol Grip, 3 Inch, PN28354.
