The thin and flexible backing heightens the ability of the tape to conform. The proprietary rubber-based adhesiveof the tape delivers instant adhesion to a variety of automotive substrates including moldings, plastic, glass, metal, rubber and painted surfaces. This tape is specially-treated for solvent and moisture resistance which minimizes bleed through. 3M Automotive Yellow Masking Tape 388N can resist temperatures up to 250°F (121°C) for up to 30 minutes. After painting, the tape removes cleanly and easily — leaving behind no adhesive residue.
