Fast-Cutting, Precision Shaped Grain
3M designed 3M Cubitron II Cloth Disc 984F as an abrasive cloth disc with 3M Precision Shaped Grain (PSG), which continuously fractures into sharp points for an exceptionally fast cut. This abrasive grain is constructed on a tough, YF-weight, polyester cloth backing and features a grinding aid ideal for medium-to-high pressure applications. In addition, the precision shaped grain requires less pressure, easing the application process for the operator. The abrasive minerals are resin-bonded to the backing for heat resistance, which allows the abrasive to run cool and reduce metal discoloration, oxidation and risk of stress cracks.
